Launch of a Repair Joint for EHV Subsea Export Cables to 245kV

Power CSL is pleased to announce the launch of its range taking repair joint for high voltage subsea export cables up to 245kV. The product complements PCSL’s existing range of repair joint products for offshore wind array and export cables.
The joint which utilises proven technology for electrical insulation and stress control has satisfactorily completed a comprehensive test programme to IEC 62067 specification and CIGRE 490 and 623 recommendations covering mechanical, electrical and hyperbaric testing. The product qualification programme was fully witnessed by KEMA.
The product is now commercially available to the offshore wind market for rapid repair of subsea EHV export cables in water depths of up to 200 metres.
