About PCSL
Power CSL is based in Rochester, Kent, UK where its directors and principal staff have many years’ experience in general cable, subsea cable and umbilical, and associated accessory design, manufacture, test and installation.
The Company was founded in 2006 by 3 professionals from the cable industry. In 2010 the business relocated to a new large factory based on the Kingsnorth Industrial Estate. Since then the Company has grown in size and capability with a strong reputation for delivering well engineered and reliable subsea cable & umbilical products and services to offshore energy sectors.
In April 2025, Power CSL was acquired by the PFISTERER Group, an international technology company specializing in the insulation and connection of electrical conductors, from power generation to distribution.
Karl Mc Fadden - Director
karl.mcfadden@pfisterer.comKarl joined Power CSL in 2025 during the acquisition. Karl has been with the PFISTERER group for nearly 20 years. During this time, he has covered senior technical, sales and operation roles. Since the acquisition of PCSL by Pfisterer, Kart is now involved in the general management of the Company with executive responsibilities.
Pat Oakley - Director
pat.oakley@pfisterer.comPat is a founding director of Power CSL, accountable for the general management of the Company with executive responsibilities. Prior to this he held board positions in major cable, cable accessory, and compound manufacturing companies. He has over 30 years’ experience in the cable industry and has worked in technical, commercial, operational and general management roles.
James Lancaster – Design Manager
James joined Power CSL in 2021 as Design Engineer. He now manages the company’s design and engineering function for the development work from concept through to commercial production. James has considerable experience in the design and engineering of cable accessories having worked for several years in this field.
Nick Jupp – Operation Manager
Nick joined Power CSL in 2020 in the position of Operations Manager. He is responsible for all site and manufacturing activities at the Power CSL site. With a strong engineering background he has many years’ experience in managing complex production sites.
Geoff Bennett – Technical Manager
Geoff joined Power CSL in 2021 and is responsible for the company’s technical functions and overseeing all aspects of product development, type test installation and testing programmes. He has worked in the field of power cables, cable accessories and electrical systems for many years, and is familiar with managing complex projects and test programmes.
Guy Williams – Senior Project Manager
Guy joined Power CSL in 2025 and is responsible for the company’s development programmes and management of product development projects and training plans. He has worked in the power cable industry all his working life, involved in both functional and senior operational roles of the industry.
Ben Mlotshwa – Design Engineer
Ben has been at Power CSL since April 2024 and is an experienced mechanical project design engineer, with a MSc in Advance Mechanical Engineering and a BEng in Aeronautical Engineering. He is responsible for the preparation of concept and detailed design drawings for subsea joint orders together with the creation of the associated manuals for joint assembly.
Amitharun Rema – Design Engineer
Amith joined Power CSL in January 2024 as a design engineer for subsea joints. He has a MSc in Mechanical Engineering and provides concept and product designs for subsea joints as well as the formation of the joints’ assembly manuals.
