About PCSL
Power CSL is based in Rochester, Kent, UK where its directors and principal staff have many years’ experience in general cable, subsea cable and umbilical, and associated accessory design, manufacture, test and installation.
The Company was founded in 2006 by 3 professionals from the cable industry. In 2010 the business relocated to a new large factory based on the Kingsnorth Industrial Estate. Since then the Company has grown in size and capability with a strong reputation for delivering well engineered and reliable subsea cable & umbilical products and services to offshore energy sectors.

Colin Bagge – Director
colin.bagge@powercsl.comColin joined Power CSL in 2006 at the inception of the company, having previously worked in the power cable industry for more than 30 years. In his previous role as chief engineer of a major cable manufacturer he managed the test, quality assurance, material specification, cable design and development functions.
Pat Oakley - Director
pat.oakley@powercsl.comPat was also a founding director of Power CSL. Prior to this he held board positions in major cable, cable accessory, and compound manufacturing companies. He has over 30 years’ experience in the cable industry and has worked in technical, commercial, operational and general management roles.
Tim Marsh - Director
tim.marsh@powercsl.comTim founded Power CSL with his fellow directors in 2006. He has over 40 years’ experience in the wire and cable industry and has held various Technical and Business Development positions at Board level in UK and overseas based companies. Tim is a Chartered Engineer, a Fellow of the Institution of Engineering and Technology and a Member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers.
Russ Challis - Engineering Manager
russ.challis@powercsl.comRuss who joined Power CSL in 2009 as Engineering Manager has many years of experience in the power cable industry having spent over 30 years in design and development with a major cable accessory manufacturer. He is a highly practical engineering expert and is conversant with various CAD systems
James Lancaster – Design Engineer
james.lancaster@powercsl.comJames joined Power CSL in 2021 as Design Engineer. He has considerable experience in the design and engineering of cable accessories having worked for several years in this field.
Nick Jupp – Operation Manager
nick.jupp@powercsl.comNick joined Power CSL in 2020 in the position of Operations Manager. He is responsible for all site and manufacturing activities at the Power CSL site. With a strong engineering background he has many years’ experience in managing complex production sites.
James Witts – Manufacturing Technician
james.witts@powercsl.comJames is an experienced technician whose role at PCSL encompasses operations including assembly and kitting of the product range, monitoring of inventory, and various other site support activities. He is thoroughly familiar with the full PCSL product range.
Barry Edgeler – Process Engineer
barry.edgeler@powercsl.comBarry is a professional process engineer with extensive experience in the manufacture of subsea power cables and an in-depth knowledge of plastics processing as applied in the manufacture of medium and high voltage cables. Prior to his time with Power CSL he had 30 years wide ranging experience with a major cable manufacturer.
Geoff Bennett – Project Manager
geoff.bennett1@powercsl.comGeoff joined Power CSL in 2021 and is responsible for project management and product development & test functions. He has worked in the field of power cables, cable accessories and electrical systems for many years, and is familiar with managing complex projects and test programmes.
Lee Wallis – Electrical Engineer
lee.wallis@powercsl.comLee is a qualified electrical engineer whose role takes him across the full range of Power CSL activities. Previously he held engineering roles with a number of mobile power generation equipment providers.
Jeanette Oakley
net.oakley@powercsl.comJeanette (Net) has been responsible for Power CSL’s internal finance functions since the Company was first established. Prior to this she held various management roles in the finance and insurance sectors.
