Offshore Installation & Test Services

Power CSL provide fully offshore certified MV and HV power cable jointers, optical fibre technicians and cable test engineers to oil & gas and renewable energy projects in all parts of the world.

Power CSL supplied personnel are fully trained in the installation and test of the product range and have extensive offshore working experience.

Field technicians and jointers are supported by Power CSL’s UK based engineering and project management team. In advance of mobilisation project specific procedures can be generated in conjunction with Clients’ own engineering function.

The Company maintains a wide range of portable equipment for offshore testing of subsea power cables and umbilicals :

VLF High voltage test set
HV DC test set
5kV insulation resistance tester
Micro-ohmmeters
Long range TDR for cable characterisation and fault location
Combined TDR / surge generator fault locator

This wide spread of test equipment is available to Clients on a hire charge basis.
