Power CSL splices have been the subject of electrical and mechanical type testing to specifications such as IEC 60502 and the Cigre Working Group 21.02 test recommendation for mechanical tests on submarine cables as well as long duration water immersion testing. Splices have also been subject to hydrostatic testing.
